Lightning Kills a Lady and Blows Down 48 Houses

Battambang Province: An old virgin lady was shot dead instantly by lightning in the middle of a field as she went to catch grabs. The event occurred at 2:30 p.m. on 4-March-07 in a fiend behind a house in Kdol Dountiev village, Battambang district.
Otherwise there was a storm blowing down 30 houses of Cambodian people in Piem Ek commune, Ek Phnom district while a big rain dropped. Half a month ago, Battambang province suffered by a big storm blowing through several districts caused nearly 500 houses fall down and three people were killed by lightning.
Mr. Ches Sameit, Ek Phnom district's police chief, informed that on 4-April-07 there was a big rain with strong wind and lightning killed an old virgin lady named Hien Heoun, 40, having lived in Kdol village, Kdol Dountiev commune, Battambang district as 30 houses fell and destroyed in Piem Ek commune, Ek Phnom district.
