LOST CHILDREN, A new screening at META HOUSE
Friday, November 13, 2009
Phnom Penh: The first screening of “LOST CHILDREN” (Tuesday, 7PM) – the award-winning documentary about child soldiers in Uganda. Filmmakers Ali Samadi Ahadi and Oliver Stoltz observe children who escaped the bush camps of Ugandan rebels to document what happens when they try to reintegrate into their clans. Because both directors were confronted with war during their childhoods, they have purposely chosen to tell the story from a child’s perspective (2005, 98mins).
Also screening: “ON THE MOVE” by Cambodian media students Tiep Seiha and Meas Roth documents a trip to Germany and the Netherlands, where Khmer students learn about the German genocide.
