Many Factory Workers Concerning To Cut Cost Night Work

Concerning to cut of night work, Many factory works were worry about their salary because Prime Minister Hun Sen has asked National Assembly to amend the labor law in order to reduce the pay of night-shift workers.
Involving with the proposed amendment, the pay of night-shift would be diminished from the current 200 percent of day rat to 130 percent. The amendment doesn't change the labor's law definition of nigh work between 10pm to 5am.
The Prim Minister Hun Sen has thought that cutting wages of night work is necessary to boost employment to increase the number of works and spur investment. "Nighttime wages has been a problem for many years" and it's a reason that caused many investors to hesitate initiating nighttime works, which caused a lake of works and affects in foreign markets competition, he added.
Relevant to this amendment labor law, the Free Trade Union--the nation's largest union --strongly condemned, if the Assembly passed this amendment labor law its member would strike.
