Ministry of Meteorology Plans Workshop on Lightning Strike

Phnom Penh: The ministry of meteorology plans to celebrate a workshop on lightning strike to inform the people of this fatal phenomenon. Unfortunately, the date of the plan is not sure yet due to the budget problem. According the officer of the ministry of meteorology, 108 people were already killed by the lightning from January to July in 2009. This is the highest fatal number comparing to the previous one. The lightning also left the animals die. In 2008 more than 80 people were killed by lightning.
