More Lake Residents Received Land Titles in 2nd Phase

Phnom Penh: Recently, Boeung Kak Lake residents from 3 villages had just been handed land deeds in the 1st phase, and on 23rd December 2011, Deputy Governor Mr. NOUN Someth, high level representative of H.E Governor KEP Chuk Tema, presided over in a ceremony to additionally distribute 221 plots of land titles, marked as the 2nd phase, to Kak Lake residents from 2 villages namely village 20 and 21, located in Sagnkat Srash Chak, Khan Daun Penh, Phnom Penh.

In that occasion, Mr. NOUN Someth addressed that Phnom Penh Capital Hall organized a specializing committee which is in charged by Director of Department of Land Management, Urban Planning, Construction and Cadastre as the committee chairman to make measurement on sites in order to give ownership to them according to the actual land size they are occupying. Typically, Phnom Penh Capital Hall will distribute land titles to them in the 2nd phase today and respectively. Kak Lake residents must stay calm and should not believe in incitement triggers by a handful of opportunists who cause difficulties, public disorder and the loss of benefits. As scheduled, land titles will be distributed in 4 phases, and so far, 2 phases were already executed to give out 475 land titles. (City Hall)
