Municipal Authority Plans to Scatter Police Forces

Phnom Penh Municipal authority plans to scatter 4,000 police forces during Khmer New Year form 13-15 April. Police forces will be spread out in tour spots and pagodas in Phnom Penh to guarantee security and ban debauchery during traditional Khmer New Year. A parliamentarian of Sam Rainsy’s party Yem Sovan claims that some authorities conspire with pessimistic business men to open debauchery places illegally. “Debauchery causes crime, robbery and killing,” he added. So now he writes a letter for Interior Ministry to put a strong measurement on those problems.
