Wednesday, January 20, 2010
Phnom Penh: On THUR, 21/01, at 7 pm, Phnom Penh based youth NGO SCY has been providing young people support to tell their stories for 6 years. With their internationally awarded show Youth Today, broadcast each week on CTN, SCY offers a unique insight of Cambodia through the eyes of its youth. Tonight at Meta House the young reporters stay up late to share a new documentary on the Hip Hope scene in Cambodia. Followed by Bruno Natal’s documentary “DUB ECHOES” which shows how the Jamaican invention called dub ended up influencing much of the music we hear today, from electronic music to hip hop, transforming the studio into a musical instrument and giving way to sonic experiments (2007, 75mins).
