Phnom Penh: Located on the Tonlé Sap River, the city/province of Kampong Chhnang translates into English language as “The Clay Pot Port”. Its economy consists of fishery, agriculture and traditional pottery. Following the slogan “Global commitment - local partnership” the GTZ program “PSP Private Sector Promotion in Rural Areas” has initiated a pottery design competition, which connects Cambodia’s past, present and future. 19 design students from Cambodia’s capital Phnom Penh and 25 pottery professionals from Kampong Chhnang present their collaborative works.
