National Assembly Approves Draft of Public Procurement Law

Phnom Penh: (AKP) The National Assembly of Cambodia this morning approved the draft law on public procurement by 84/84 of lawmakers present at the session.
This 14-chapter and 76-article draft law will cover all public procurement in Cambodia, except the procurement under the assistance projects by the development partners, the procurement affecting confidentiality in the national defense and public security.
H.E. Keat Chhon, Deputy Prime minister and Minister of Economy and Finance said the law will become another important legal tool for the royal government to prevent corruption and to ensure public transparency, accountability, trust and public financial reform.
