National Film Theater in 2008

Phnom Penh: Movie and Cultural Broadcasting department will celebrate the Third National Film Theater on 9 January, 2008 which has 14 movies participate in this challenging. Mr. Kong Kantara said that Cambodia celebrated its first national film theater in 1990, the second was in 2005, and the third time will be held on 09 January, 2008. In 2005, there were 22 films joined the competition and Crocodile Hunting was in the first rank among 22 stories. Anyway, this time only 14 stories will join the competition, 8 stories decrease if compares to that in 2005. The goal for preparing this program is to strengthen the quality of Khmer film industry and to promote its quality both in the local and international.
