NEC to Fine any Parties out of Election Law

May 6, 08: NEC will fine any parties from five to ten million Riel which precede the campaign out of election law. NEC’s general secretariat Mr. Tep Nitha said that election campaign period will last for 30 days from June 26 to July 25, 2008. He added that for any parties that do something against parliamentarian election law, first commune or provincial election committee warn those parties or candidates in hand written or oral. And if the parties or candidates still continue to commit the wrong thing, NEC will decide to drop out their registered name of that party or candidate with fine from five to ten million riel.
