Officer: Animals Smuggled into Vietnam

Vietnamese Authority, Pham Van Son, on 30 July 2008 claimed that hundreds of Cambodian animals are smuggled into his country every day, selling in other cities in Vietnam especially Hou Chimenh City. Those animals are transported into Vietnam through two main border gates in An Yan province, and the process is completely busy that could not limit, he added. A lot of smuggling occurs at the night time. The veterinaries have no right to check the smuggled animals, so they do not know whether they contain disease or not.
