One Dies, 27 Injured in Grenade Attack

Siem Reap Province: A 21-year-old man died immediately and the 27 other people wounded at a Khmer New Year dance at 9:20pm on 16 April 2008 in Var Rin district’s Sre Nouy commune. Police officer said that an unknown man threw a hand bomb into the dance. The dead victim khown as Nov Theareth was a car fixer. The wounded were sent to Siem Reap provincial hospital, police said Thursday. Local police said that the attack caused by an argument. Before the incident broke out, two groups of gangers had bad scuffle. The attackers were under the arrest, police added.
