People in Kam Pot Protest not to Leave unless Compensation

People living along bank of Kampong Bay creek were surprise and went to ask Andong Khmer commune’s chief after Kam Pot provincial authorities issued announcement letter for them to move. There are 147 houses in two villages located along that creek among which an accommodation belongs to province’s financial department head Mr. In Meng Huo. The authority plans to change this area to park which is the development of Kam Pot provincial town.
On December 7, 07 provincial halls put measurement for people to move in one month. Andong Khmer commune’s Chief Yoy Sithorng had asked the provincial governor to solve in government policy, but he have yet received the response. The villages are north Tvy and south Tvy and some families do not have land possession license.
