Phnom Penh Police Detain a VN Woman at Goods Show

Phnom Penh: A Vietnamese woman was detained by Tuol Kork district police and sent to court on Tuesday for snatching a golden necklace at a Vietnamese goods exhibition in the campus of Mong Diyal Center in Phnom Penh City. The suspect known as Nhieng Thily, 42, has neither specific job nor home, and the victim Leng Naisim, 21, lives in Chamka Mon district. Police confiscated a pair of scissors, used to cut the necklace, and a necklace from the VN thief. The victim said that the two VN women cut her one-year-old daughter’s necklace when they were buying a helmet at the VN show, and one of the two escaped then the nearby police intervened.
