Poorness and chronic diseases leads woman to commit suicide

Phnom Penh: A 62-year-old woman with chronic diseases committed suicide early Friday morning (14 Oct 2011) in Phnom Penh’s Dangkor district. Police said that the hanged herself at her home. Her family was very poor living on bread and water. She also had chronic diseases, but she did not have money to spend on her treatment. A day before the incident, she looked upset. Police examined the corpse and concluded that she committed suicide due to her chronic diseases and poorness.
