Positive Outcome Solving Impacted Houses for New Bridge

Phnom Penh: New Chroy Chang Va bridge (To be built in parallel with the existing bridge) would be planned to hold groundbreaking ceremony on November 02, 2011 under presidency of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padie Techo HUN SEN, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia and The First Lady. This new bridge would reduce traffic congestion in a maximum level, particularly help to facilitate transportation from other provinces into Phnom Penh. This infrastructure development had faced with some difficulties because of some houses located on the project site, Russey Keo District in particular there were 9 households affected and would need to be solved in order to smooth the working process of building the 2nd Chroy Chang Va bridge. Having clearly understood the actual situation and cooperated in the city development with civilization manner, moreover, with the help of the facilitation coordinators of the project, on July 20, 2011, at the Capital Hall, the above said 9 families had voluntarily and cheerfully agreed to accept the compensation policy and up to these days, they had already moved their anarchic structures from the project site.
