Preah Vihear Temple Listed as World Heritage Site

Phnom Penh: Unesco decided to list Preah Vihear temple as a world heritage site on 8 July 2008 in Canada’s Quebec city. Cambodia people gathered around Phsar Thmei in Phnom Penh city to congratulate the victory of the long waiting listing. People danced while they were raising the cloth hoarding that says “congratulation for the inscription of Preah Vihear temple as a world site”. Minister of Thai Foreign Affairs was against the decision of  Unesco and asked the committee to delay the listing.
