5th PLENARY SESSION OF THE ECCC COMMENCES MONDAY 2 MARCH 2009
Between 2 and 6 March 2009, the ECCC will hold its 5th Plenary Session at the Cambodiana Hotel, Phnom Penh , Cambodia.
This Plenary Session will discuss proposed amendments to the Internal Rules concerning the conduct of ECCC proceedings, including rules relating to investigations, civil parties, witnesses, experts as well as to evidence. A significant number of proposed amendments for consideration at this Plenary Session concern the procedures of the Supreme Court Chamber. The Plenary Session is also expected to consider some administrative and technical matters and amendments to the Internal Rules’ glossary.
The media are invited to attend the opening of the Plenary Session, which will commence at 11 a.m on Monday 2 March in the Tonle Sap Room. Opening remarks will be made by the ECCC President, H.E. Kong Srim and Plenary International Vice-President Judge Silvia Cartwright.
A further press statement will be issued at the closing of the Plenary Session on Friday 6 March 2009.
