Prime Minister Hun Sen mentions the causes of traffic accidents

Phnom Penh: On 24th April, Prime Minister Hun Sen mentioned that ther are 3 main factors that cause the traffic accidents in Cambodia.He said that the first factor is human factor. Most drivers are too young, and unlicensed. Some other drivers have only the licenses but they did not get the training course or driving test. Some others do not follow the traffic rules, driving too fast, and driving the overloaded trucks.
Second is the road factor. The roads are constructed by not follow the standard. Some roads are too curved, and some other roads do not have traffic sign.
Third is the car factor. The cars that are made to drive in the right are not suitable to drive in Cambodia.
He added that the rate of traffic accidents in Cambodia is higher than other countries. Traffic accident is the second silent killer after AIDS.
