Rape Case: Woman Accuses, Man Denies

Kampongspeu Province: Kampongspeu province court on Wednesday morning operated a hearing over rape case. A woman accused a 30-year-old man of forcing her to drink beer and raping her three times when they had a small party at their friend’s house in Phnom Penh’s Chov Changva commune. The accused dismissed the charge, saying that they loved each other. The woman asked him to use condoms, avoiding pregnancy, said the defendant, who was arrested on July 18 after the family of the complainant filed a complaint with police. The result of the hearing will be announced on August 5.
