Schoolgirl Rapist Arrested after Escapes

Posat Province: The construction worker, who had raped a 9-year-old schoolgirl in Sompov Meas district and escaped, was arrested by villagers and the victim’s family and sent to police office on 29 Jan 2008. The rapist known as Bun Thy, 22, lives in Kan Dieng district, but he works as a construction worker in Sompov Meas district, police said. After questioned, he confessed that he had raped the victim. Police sent him to the court to sentence on 30 Jan 2008.
