Phnom Penh: Today (09-o2-10) at seven at Heta house, a documentary double bill: "Testimonial Therapy" (2009, 15mins) shows an innovative approach to trauma healing: Khmer Rouge survivors restore their traumatic memories about sexual violence, arbitrarily arrest and other severe human rights violations and convert them into a testimony which is delivered in a Buddhist ceremony. “FROM HOLLYWOOD TO HANOI” (1993, 80mins) is shot in post-war Vietnam by Vietnamese-American actress Tiana Alexandra and produced by Oliver Stone. Interweaving personal history and candid interviews with historic figures such as Nobel Peace Prize winner Le Duc Tho, the film exemplifies Tiana’s mission of healing and reconciliation.
