Sihanouk Ville: Many people of Sihanouk Ville, which is the tourism city, are facing water shortages. Some of them have not had water to use since last week, Chuon Chetha, Deputy Supply Authority said yesterday.
It often rains this month but there has not been rainfall so far and we cannot supply those people with water because his office also lacks water to use, he added.
Some people have bought water from water selling lorries and they do not have money to buy water continuously so they have used less and less water.
It is not only residents, but also the monks lack water so if they want to take a bath, they should go to the house of the near by residents who have their own wells, the monk said.
Say Hak, the governor of Sihanouk Ville called on people to save their water last week. If it rains next month, we will not lack water, and have enough water for our people to use, he added.
