Slow process of national road 6 construction blocks thousands of tourists

Siem Reap- Banteay Mean Chey Province: National Road 6 connecting from Siem Reap to Poiy Pet international gate is blocking thousands of foreign tourists from visiting Siem Reap province. This road is the main gate for gaining a number of visitors to visit Cambodia especially Angkor Wat zone, but it is interrupted by a slow process of the road construction that make some tour companies disappointed with this obstacle. The number of tourists will dramatically increase if this road is completely built. Some companies said that the increase of tourists in Siem Reap is not yet reached the top, for they get only the Airline tourists, whereas the visitors traveling by car from Thailand across this national road are very low. All tour companies still wait for visitors from Thailand, while they have strongly called for the government to urge the construction forward in order to complete it due to the plan.
