SRP Attempted to Finish Lawsuit

Phnom Penh: When the Phnom Penh Municipal Court has not declared their decision of the PM’s defamation charge, Sam Rainsy Party is already attempted to finish this case. SRP lawmaker Mu Sochua, who Prime Minister Hun Sen accused her of defaming after she held an April 23 press conference against the Prime minister, was present in the court without lawyer on July 24 after the Executive Director of Cambodia Defenders Project Sok Sam Oeun could not be her lawyer. The National Assembly removed Mu Sochua immunity on June 22 to allow the court to charge her. Phnom Penh Municipal Court will declare their decision on the case on August 4.
