Teenager Arrested for Raping Student

Kampongspeu Province: Rolie Bor Ie district police said on Saturday that an 18-year-old teenager ran away from home after he had attempted to rape a 20-year-old student at around 5 p.m. in Toek Huot commune’s Prek Sala village. The victim of the unsuccessful rape case said that when she was riding her bicycle from school, Sok Sophak stopped her, dragging her to a nearby bush in order to rape, but she managed to escape from the scene. Then she filed a complaint with police. The escapee was arrested on Sunday after one day escape. According to a source, the rape case maybe solve by paying compensation, not bring the accused to justice.
