Teenager Rapes a Girl in Rice Field

Battambang Province: A 21-year-old Kha Thy was accused of raping a 17-year-old girl on Saturday morning in Moung Rossey district. The accused was arrested at the same day after the girl’s parent filed a complaint with the local police. BaKan district police chief Ket Heang said that the suspect raped the girl in a rice field about 1 000 meters from her house in Rossey Kang commune’s Chrai Run village. After raping the suspect threatened to kill the girl if what happened was known. In front of police, the Kha Thy confessed that he raped the girl. Kha Thy was sent to the provincial court to sentence on Sunday.
