Thai Authorities Tighten the Boders

Phnom Penh: After armed Thai man opened fire on Khmer workers, killing two in Thai territory, and Preah Vihear temple was listed as a world heritage site, Thai authorities have tightened the crossing of Khmer workers at the border’s gates in Banteaymeanchay province, said government officer and Banteaymeanchay province authorities on Sunday. 47 gates for crossing into Thailand were tightened in Ma Lai, Ou Chrov, Svay Chek, and Pouk district. Meanwhile, at Preah Vihear temple border about 200 of Thai anti protesters gathered again on Saturday in order to demand Khmer citizens living near to leave, said Banteaymeanchay province police chief Hun Hean on Sunday.
