Thai Protests Proposal of Cambodia to Put Preah Vihear Temple as Inter’l Heritage

June 21, 2007: Thai newspaper wrote that Thailand has planned to protest the proposal that Cambodia proposes UNESCO Organization to put Preah Vihear temple as international heritage. Thai side says that Thai has right to possess a part of Preah Vihear temple because the temple is located in Thailand.
The Thai newspaper continues that in meeting of UNESCO Committees for occupying international heritage hosted on June 24, 2007, commissioners of Thai’s international heritage will focus on the Cambodia’s proposal. Cambodia once requested three years ago, but has not gone through the valuation of UNESCO’s committee.
