Thai Soldiers Arrested for Entering Brothel in Khmer Land

Banteaymeanchey Province: At least four Thai soldiers with no arms were arrested by Cambodian authorities after they had entered Khmer territory illegally to visit prostitutes at about 8:30 p.m. on Saturday at Chorm Checking point. They were later released after being questioned. Chorm checking point soldier chief Ek Saban said that Cambodian troops arrested Thai soldiers because they had entered Khmer Land illegally to sleep with sex workers after the checking point was close. The people in Cheung Phnom Village said that the area was anarchy. The authorities do not crack down on a few brothels and drug taking there.
