Thai Soldiers Kill Khmer Logger

Thai-Cambodian Border: One of 12 Khmer citizens, who were employed to log in Dorng Rek mountain by a local trader, was injured and burned alive at around 12 p.m. on Friday. The deceased Yun Rith, 16, lived in Krouch Sakhon village, Koun Kriel commune, Odarmeanchey province’s Som Roung town, said border protection police on Saturday. After the injuring, Thai soldiers tied him to his cow cart, which used to transport the timber from the mountain, and poured gasoline over him, burning at the scene, police added. The other logger, Mao Kloeng, 18, also got seriously wounded, but he managed to escape. Cambodian Authorities are doing investigation on the fatal case.
