Thailand Protests Rebuilding the Market

Preah Viheear Province: Thailand sent a letter on Thursday last week, protesting Cambodia in rebuild the market near Preah Vihear temple, claiming that this building violated the MOU. But Cambodia dismissed the protest, and confirmed that this area created before the MOU. Thai soldiers opened fire on this market in the morning of April 3 during firing between the two side troops. Brasat villagers lost their houses and properties in the damage. Cambodia demanded Thailand to pay 250 US million dollars compensation for the damaged market, but Thailand denied.
