The Bar Association of the Kingdom of Cambodia Decreases the Price for Foreign Lawyers

The foreign attorneys have to pay $500 for all processing in the career of lawyer in Cambodia. This decreasing price for the foreign attorneys because the Bar Association of the Kingdom of Cambodia want to urge the processing of sentencing of the former Khmer Rough run soon, according to Mr. Nue Tharith a deputy and a spokesman of the Bar Association of the Kingdom of Cambodia said last Saturday.
Facing with 30 local and 5 foreign journalists Mr. Nue Tharith added that “the BAKC is a dependent constitution, we do everything not under controlling of others” and this decreasing price was passed on 27-April-2007 by the 19 attorneys included Mr. Ki Tech a head of BACK.
In the previous time the foreign lawyers had to pay $500 for registration, $2.000 for becoming a layer in Khmer Rough Tribunal and $200 for each month, this is the speech of Mr. Reach Sambath a spokesman of Khmer Rough Tribunal said.
The processing of trial the former Khmer rough has been delaying for long time because the foreign layers didn’t agree with the previous price for the career of lawyer. “The foreign attorneys complained that this price was so expensive” Mr. Nue Tharith said.
