Phnom Penh: The prince Norodom Ranariddh, the former Funcinpic and Norodom Ranariddh party president, recently has been appointed top adviser to the king Sihamoni, said Norodom Ranariddh party spokesmen Sut Kina. The position is equal to the prime minister’s. After arriving Cambodia, the prince received the decree, which was signed by the king, on December 10. “he leaves his political life, so after getting the decree he is no longer related to politic,” said Norodom Ranariddh party officer, who added that Choem Siekleng is the new president of the Norodom Ranariddh party. Cheam Yab, the Member of the Cambodian People’s Party, said that the prince deserved top adviser to serve social affairs.
