Thieves steal head of Buddha statue in Kandal province

Kandal Province: The head of Buddha statue in Koh Khel pagoda, Koh Khel commune, Sa Ang district, was stolen by a host of stealers at around 1am on 5 December 2007. No one knew until 6:30am, said Nub Nem, Chief Monk. The head, was in the temple many years ago, is more than four kilograms, and made of bronze, he added. Police said that the case is under investigation and at the scene the stealers left some clues.
