Three Arrested for Kidnapping a Child

Kratie Province: Three men, who were suspected of kidnapping a Phnom Penh child, were arrested by penalty police working with Snoul district police on November 7 in their residence in Kratie province. The 5-year-old child Son Thipirin, who was taken hostage, lives in Beng Salang commune, Phnom Penh’s Toul Kok district. According to police, the three called the child’s parents and demanded 3 000 US dollar as a ransom. After the apprehending, three were questioned and sent to the penalty police of the ministry of interior.
