Three Boys and Girls Die, one Injured in Rice Field

Battambang Province: Four school boys and girls were attacked by the lightning in a rice field, leaving three of them die and the other one seriously injured at around 3:30 p.m. on Saturday in Moung Russey district’s Robors Mongkul commune. The girl Siek Chan, 15, Khien Khun, 13 and the boy Heng Tie, 8, and Hath Hoeun, who got severely wounded in his head, were playing under the hard rain in the rice field in Prey Prom II village, said Bau Sokheang, the commander of Moung Russey district military police. This year, the lightning killed more than 100 people. This number is higher comparing to last year’s.
