Three Men Arrested for Robbery

Banteaymeanchey Province: Three men, who were engaged in a robbery, were apprehended by penalty police working with Malai district police on May 5 and sent them to the provincial court two days later. Police said that on May 3 at around 1:30 a.m. in Tuol Pongro commune’s Santepheap village, a robbery took place to a farmer family, who got seriously injured. Police tried to search for them and made the arrest three days later. The three confessed that they and other five men with two AK rifles robbed the family. Banteaymeanchey provincial police said that two other men were also arrested on May 7 and they are working hard to search for the left.
