Three Monks seriously Injure, Several Others Minor

December 17, 07: At least three monks seriously injured and several others with minor injury in a police blocking in front of Vietnamese embassy in Phnom Penh. A monk named Ly Chandara, said that police used electrocute and police sticks to beat them. They came from Samky Rangsei pagoda in Khan Meanchey and aimed to send a petition to Vietnamese embassy in which demanding for Vietnamese authority to release Khmer Kampuchea Krom monks being in detention, to give back the grabbed land in 1978 and to obey rights of indigenous people. But no one came to get the petition.
