Three People Get Injure and Three cows die in Storm Disaster

Kandal Provice: The torrential rain with storm and lightning destroyed villagers’ 16 houses. Three villagers were injured; three cows died and other things were damaged as well. The event broke out on 20 June 2007 in three communes of Ang Snoul district, Kandal province: Krang Mkak, Kantouk, Boengthom, and Chork Choeunagn commune.
The villagers said that the sky was dark and then the rain fell down with storm and terrible lightning in the evening. Some villagers’ houses could not resist the strong storm, so they fell down to the ground. Some roofs with tile and zinc flied in the air and the tree were rooted upon some houses.
During the storm, people dared not go out because they were afraid of the lightning, but when the storm stopped, they known that three people got severe injury and three cows died. This was the biggest storm ever, the villagers added.
