Three Schoolboys Drown

Svay Rieng Province: At least three school students were found death in a deep pond on Saturday afternoon. The deceased swam and drowned in the pond during their break time in Svay Teap district’s Som Buo commune, the local police said. Kuon Sara, their teacher, counted his students, missing Vat Savoeurn, 9, Kong Vanny, 9, and Sang Piron, 8. He suspected that they went to swim in the nearby pond in the pagoda. No one could swim. It was too late to secure the boys until the swimmer came, police added.
