To Keep Female Deer for Advantage but Nearly get Punishment When It Dies

Sihanoukvill: A female deer that weighted approximately 100 kilogram that Spean Cheh villagers caught on 15-Mar-07 and after died was taken by wild animal conservative organizations without saying “thanks” or left some meat for villagers.Spean Cheh villagers told journalists that morality of wild animal conservative organizations made people lose confidence on providing information. It is usual that participants want advantage but now people not only did not get the word “thanks” but also nearly got punishment because of the death of the deer.
The same villagers added that the deer was dead when she fell down that affected her unborn baby and because veterinarian arrived late. They did not intent to kill the deer or wanted the deer’s meat. People believe that when wild animals enter the village, it will bring harm to people, especially deer.
Spean Cheh village is in Boun commune, Mitpeap district, Sihanoukvill. The villager is in trouble since the beginning of 2007 because the municipal authority accused them of anarchy group that had grabbed other people’s land.
