Traffic Accidents in Kompong Cham Province during Khmer New Year

Kompong Cham province: In four days, traffic accidents happened 32 times at some districts in Kompong Cham province, causing 8 people died, 43 were severely wounds and 26 were superficially injured.
The accidents caused by the drivers didn’t follow the traffic laws or the vehicles were lack of technical conditions such as the drivers drove like the wind, were drunken, and the vehicles were old etc.
According to road traffic police, from 13 to 16 of April 2007, there were 32 traffic accidents a long some district’s roads in Kompong Cham provice: Tbougn Khmom, 6 cases, Baray, 5 cases, Prey Chor, 4 cases, Kompong Siem 5 cases,Chom Kaler, 3 cases, Memuth, 3 cases, Kompong Cham,3 cases, Steng Trang, 2 cases, and Koh Soten, 1 case.
