Traffic Accidents Kill 17 last Month in Phnom Penh

Phnom Penh: At least four women and 13 men died; 54 got seriously injured, and 31 suffered minor wound in the traffic accidents in November 2008 in Phnom Penh, Phnom Penh Traffic Police said. The traffic accidents happened 52 times (eight of them caused by drunk driving) damaging 65 motorbikes. 23 cars and four trucks were also slightly destroyed. The accidents cost around 11 478 US dollars, according to an estimate. Traffic police also confirmed that most of the accidents occurred at night time. And they added that comparing to last year, it decreased.
