Thursday, May 10, 2007
Kompot Province: Villagers of Sre Leav village, Chhuk district tried to dig for treasure at Khmer Rouge Killing Field after a host of Vietnamese soldiers scanned the ground with metal detectors to find on Friday the bones of their soldiers missing in Cambodia.
While the Vietnamese soldiers were digging, a 35-year-old man known as Ou Klaut saw a pair of gold earrings in the grave, but he said nothing.
After the leaving of Vietnamese soldiers of KR killing field, he dug for the gold earrings that he saw, and he found them. A few hours later the information spread so other villagers came and dug at Khmer Rouge killing as Ou Klaut did.
