Villagers Go to Protest at Commune Hall

April 30, 08: Approximately 800 villagers from four villages in Prek Sleng commune, Kandal Steong district, Kandal province went to protest against heads of their villages and commune. They started to protest after, the villages’ and commune’s presidents did no agree to sign on official letters for land sales. Prek Sleng commune’s head Ms. Meas Sokem claim that she did not provide signature on the letters because before those villagers sold their land to a company. But now they wanted to sell to another merchant.
