World Bank help electricity service in rural areas

Phnom Penh: Helping eclectricity service in rural areas does not focus only on the using and providing of the electricity, but we must think about the source of electricity and the reasonable price for the poor people in remote areas. With the support from World Bank, and in cooperation with SEDAC, the Ministry of Industry, Mine, and Energy presented the sources of electricity suchas solar, small scale hydroelectric plant and the wind. The cheap elctricity price is an important factor to alleviate the poverty because now rural people now are using the expensive electricity service while the urban people using the cheap electricity service.
